A couple weeks ago I tweaked the voting times of this account to see if we could improve on the curation rewards. My thought was simple, the vote for this account isn't very large so we need to come in before larger votes like automated SBI votes or manual curation votes to be able to increase our rewards. So how did it work?
Before & After
Before we had a Weighted Average of 21.62%. If I'm understanding it correctly this is the number that really matters as it figures out the total vote value vs total curation rewards and ignores is a small weight vote had a really high curation percentage that really didn't amount to a lot of actual reward ($$).
After the change in minutes we are now at an Weighted Average of 68.03% which is more then 3 times the rewards for the same votes!!! This is a huge bonus and means for every 1.00 worth of STU we are giving out in votes we are getting 0.68 STU back in Curation Rewards so the account will grow even faster.
Short Term benefit
This is only a short term benefit as the new HF will undo everything and tweaking voting times down to seconds isn't possible without our own voting bot. But for the short term if you are putting people on an autovote consider looking at their posts to see if they have large autovotes coming in from SBI or other sources that you should be trying to get in front of.
