Will PCIe expansion card hurt mining performance?

There are quite a few videos out regarding this topic, but they don’t provide stats. I wanted to test whether or not this Ubit PCIe 1 x 4 adapter would impact mining performance. This isn’t your only choice for expanding a PCIe x1 slot to 4 or 6 slots, but it is one of the more cost-effective solutions available. I want to warn some out there that running your GPU’s 24/7 can burn up, not only, your video card, but also the PCIe slot it is connected to. With that said this adapter is pulling a lot of computing performance through a single slot, and that may cause your hardware to burn out. There is no way to predict when that will happen, as factors such as quality of components and the mining hardware your using can impact the time till failure. Use these adapters at your own risk, and make sure to research the companies that make them. Beware of cheap components and ensure you are running capable hardware, this will help expand the life of your mining system. Good Luck
