In the third week of December 2017, when I was on a trip to northern areas of Pakistan, Swat, Kalam, I witnessed the beauty of nature in my country and enjoyed a lot.
There is a sense of peace of quite in winter that you don’t seem to get in any of the other seasons. Fresh snow dampens sound in a way that has to be experienced before you really understand it. The sense of quite comes for the high porosity of loosely packed crystals of freshly fallen snow which trap sound waves. It looks like winter has arrived here with temps here in the low -18 degree for this week. One of the problems with having such dramatic season is you can tell how far behind I am with my photo editing! The shot was taken in December 2017 at Swat.
