Mt Tron - The mountain of Peace NORWAY

I want to share some words about Tron, because this mountain has had such a big influence on my life, its symbolic of my childhood and there is a very interesting peace project that deserves to be shared.

My summers up in the mountains in Norway seemed endless, two months without electricity, spending most of our time outside, small mountain farms with cows and goats, horses on summer holiday free and passing buy, fishing and gathering berries and mushrooms, all this has made a huge impact on who I am today. What really stands out now is the freedom we were given. I dont think many children get to have the same experience today. From quite a young age we would (me and my cousins) be allowed to take off on our own. We visited nearby farms and maybe got a sweet treat or could help feed the calfs, or we went fishing or just played out our fantasies, a favourite was to pretend the big rocks were ships and that we sailed the world.

There were only two rules: dont cross the river, and make sure you always see Tron.

There were magic stories about Tron, we heard about the Indian sage who came there and ended up spending the rest of his life there! Later I learned about the strong magnetic energies there and that a project actually has been going on for a very long time to make a peace center on the mountain. Here I share some of the text from the website. I leave the link below if you are interested in knowing more.

Mt.Tron is internationally known as the ’Mountain of Truth’ or the ’Mountain of Wisdom’ in Norway since the Indian sage, poet and philosopher, Swami Sri Ananda Acharya, lived on this mountain for nearly 30 years. Both his tomb and his memorial are found on the mountain. As long ago as 1918 Ananda Acharya himself chose the ’Peace Plateau’ as the proper site for the proposed University of Peace.

The central idea of the University of Peace is that there is no outer peace without inner peace, and that we as humans have everything latent within for realizing ourselves in full harmony with our surroundings. We only need a little stimulation in a favourable environment for the complete unfolding and manifestation of our potential, much like a tiny little seed in the ground which only needs warmth, water and light to grow into a huge tree. This, the University of Peace seeks to provide.

Thus the University of Peace will focus on the human being and our unused potential as a key to peace in the world. It will implement a complete knowledge of man - physically, mentally and spiritually - and by the aid of nature work to manifest the perfection already in man. By learning the language of our bodies and reading our minds we shall know our Self. In a materialistic world where economy and commerce reign supreme, those whose basic needs and necessities are met too often lack a spiritual purpose of life. The University of Peace aims at mending this imbalance by stressing the need for an overall view of human life and a meaningful perspective on humanity.

The University of Peace will not be a university in the ordinary sense with exams, diplomas or degrees, where learning is based on the acquisition of information. Instead it will be a trans-national forum for peace and human dignity - a centre of inspiration for humanity and human possibilities - free from dogmas, ‘isms’ and prejudices, and independent of organisations, religions, ideologies, and political or spiritual trends - open for all, irrespective of age, sex, race, mental makeup or belonging.
