We live in difficult times the Bible explains to us, and not everything that is presented to us is good. Knowing how to discern, and understand how to choose the best is essential for our spiritual life: "But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil", 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22.
This is why the apostle James speaks in his epistle to us metaphorically of two wisdoms, the wisdom from above in a strict sense only comes from God because it is the wisdom that comes from the inspiration of God (listen and perceive with attention, meditate with intuition and inspiration, decide with discernment and creativity), instead, there is a "demonic wisdom" that is the sophistry, the sophistry that is mentioned by Plato and the Bible is all system of knowledge with the appearance of philosophy but it is not, basically the sophistry is the error, well-argued and presented. Sophistry is the pseudoscience of heretics.
The apostle James explains to us in his letter that when we reject false wisdom and accept what comes from above, we reap the blessedness of peace:
"If you are wise and understand God's ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such ´wisdom´ does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.", James 3:13-18.
