After some conversations with @jarvie, I was able to get a sneak peek at the feature that came out almost immediately given the excitement on what it could bring to the community. We have always wondered many things about the Collections or decks being built by the community. Some have been focused on building a Collection while others more specific to being competitive and getting rewarded. In the past, it was up to research and conversations around the communities or within guilds to get information to help new players or other looking to get to a higher level.
Content creators have also been key as many are very visible and followed by the community. In fact, some have the power to even move the economy by establishing meta defining decks for plays when new cards and/or abilities appear. This new feature will now be a great ways for the community to follow these more easily and for others to share their knowledge and become known in the community! Being able to create decks for different purposes could be a key feature missing in the past as I know some new players would struggle in the past and quit due to the gameplay learning curve.
Adding the great interface features that @peak-monsters has always had will be a great resource and tool for all to share and consume these strategies. However, the question will be how open some will be given the competitive aspects of the game and rewards. I have taken screenshots of my favorite teams in the past but given how much rulesets and cards have evolved, I have mostly found myself having obsolete images from the past. This provides a great way to not only add but also edit teams as the meta evolves.
This will be the first way I use it as I can start building some teams that I frequently use in certain low and high mana matches. While I may leave them private for the moment, one suggestion I had was to be able to share to guilds as a first step. I think the line between private and public is way too broad for competitive team building at the moment. However, I love the facts that the community can follow the public ones and favorite them as this will highlight them even more among those seeking help. Definitely a great start.
The other aspect I look forward to is how to create decks from my extra cards. While we wait for "sleeves" or groups of cards to rent, I think this will be a great way for players at all levels put together decks needed as they progress in each Division. As a Champion player, I often wonder how I need to level up my extra cards so that renters can use them. Given my very limited experience at those Divisions, I am sure that my Collection is not optimized for these requirements. If players start to create these decks similar to those that are put on NFTy Arcade, it could be helpful for me to make them available to the community.
I congratulate the @peak-monsters team for another innovative development for the community. I believe that this proves that building during a bear market will create long term value to the Splinterlands ecosystem which has room to grow. Despite the challenging year we just had, having the foundations of the development teams of these third parties led by community members like @jarvie and @asgarth keep me encouraged for the future.
