How To Join

1. Register Your Account On The Peerplays Testnet!
   -Be sure to save your private keys!

2. Under the ‘Play’ tab, select “Rock Paper Scissors”.

3. Select “Explore” and select the game with the following details.

4. Click “Join” and wait for the game to start. Note – the game will start at the time posted above. Notification sounds are not active in the testnet so please make sure that you are about a minute early and ready to play!

5. Reply to this thread with your address and Peerplays username!

What is Peerplays?

Peerplays is a decentralized platform that allows users to place bets using cryptocurrencies. From their bulletin, which can be found here,

“Peerplays is an online gaming and wagering platform that utilizes open-source decentralized
blockchain technology to enable provably fair peer‐to‐peer gaming. This includes a sports betting exchange and various desktop and mobile gaming applications. Game designers can also utilize Peerplays’s tournament management infrastructure to create their own games and tournaments.”

It’s an exciting way to wager against friends, market makers, and as well is a unique way to gather various cryptocurrencies as every holder of PPY will gain a percentage of the bets placed – in whatever crypoto the bet was placed! The more you hold, obviously, the more that you gain. Peerplays was the first to publish their profit sharing code and as of now there is no project like it.

Why Litecoin?

Well, I could have chosen any cryptocurrency really. This is a tournament to start showing people what Peerplays is and how it works; to get people familiar with the platform and perhaps as excited about it as many who already know about Peerplays already are. However, the scaling debate occurring within the Bitcoin community has created some rather interesting storylines, to say the least. Rest assurred, whichever side of the debate that you are on, there are easy ways to find out what is happening. The rather short of it though is that Litecoin is getting ready to for SegWit integration and in support of their efforts, I thought it would be cool to remind people that crypto can be fun. And who wouldn’t want to win a piece of the rock that has taken a prominent position in the road towards SegWit? Essentially, Litecoin is featured in this tournament because it is a classic and it’s community is has valiently risen up in the face of adversity within the crypto community.
