Today we're trying a new solution to draw perfect pentagons. It involves a metal triangle fabricated yesterday at Andi's shop to the plan's exact dimensions.
Five triangles make 1 pentagon. We rotate the triangle on a central axis 5 times to find the 5 points that define the pentagon. It works great.
It is the most accurate solution so far. I wish we had thought of that earlier. I am starting to be confident that we will manage to align the foundation with the metal work that will be placed on top of it.
Andi places a stake in the ground at one point of the bedroom pentagon.
The river rock foundation will support more than half of the entire structure. Here's a visualization in wood of the thickness of the foundation wall at the intersection of 2 pentagons.
