The miracle of Pentecost: And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Acts 2:21

Jesus promised the disciples the help of the Holy Spirit after his departure from this world: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit" Acts 1:4-5.
And this promise is made concrete in the Jewish celebration of Pentecost, where the disciples receive the paraclete in tongues of fire; this is how the early church was born, with this miracle the disciples receive the necessary gifts to take the message of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
This unusual fact makes numerous curious people approach the place where the disciples were and it is there that Saint Peter gives his first speech announcing the good news of the gospel, citing a beautiful prophecy of Joel, according to the thought of this prophet the end of times would be close to a miraculous manifestation of the spirit among men:
"I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved" Acts 2:19-21.
The message of all this is that we do not have to be afraid of the signs of the Kingdom of Heaven, such as the spirit that is freely poured out, but understand with our hearts that with the grace of the Lord we can achieve great things, as the disciples did at their time. The name of the Lord is holy and we have to firmly ask him for everything we need, the Lord loves us with mercy (compassion, kindness) and wishes us our good and salvation: "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind," James 1:6.
