So, today it we are celebrating Pentecost. I guess most people don't even have a clue what Pentecost is all about, and those who know the origin of the celebration, still don't really spend much time actually thinking about what it is all about.
I know quite a lot about the celebration of Pentecost, and also that this was a Jewish celebration described in the Old Testament, before the celebration of Pentecost as we know it today, dealing with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem after the death of Jesus Christ.
But, have you ever thought about why all those people were in Jerusalem in the first place? Because this happened on a celebration already celebrated by the Jews, meaning that God had a perfect timing ready for which the gospel fire would spread... as people from all nations were gathered in Jerusalem.
God had a plan... and he probably has a plan with you reading this right now! It wasn't a coincidence that he poured out the Holy Spirit to his disciples on this given day, and it isn't a coincidence that we are here today, that the Holy Spirit is knowing on your door today. He is! I hope you can feel it right now!
Open up your heart to the Holy Spirit, to Jesus, and he will come and fill you. He has been waiting for you to come "home" to him.
