The natural man: These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit

Our Lord Jesus while he was physically with the disciples on earth, he told us about the need to enter into the Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of the divine perfections: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48; but for that, we need the spirit, and this gift is the divine spark that lives in us.
And we have the spirit in our hearts when we live in the fear of God, this gift is the good soil of the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-23), like the mustard seed the word "germinates" through this gift and becomes the largest vegetable (Matthew 13:31-32). The fear of God is constancy, firmness, and devotion.
And it is thus, that through the growth and perfection of the fear of God in the heart, that the true spiritual man is born, the man filled with the Holy Spirit and the love of Charity (Agape).
But it is also true that there is the opposite of the spiritual man, and this is the natural man. What characterizes this type of man is the "hardness of heart". This kind of person only lives to satisfy their most immediate needs without taking his neighbor into account in the least. The concupiscence is what moves the natural man to act and to seek his own objectives, concupiscence is the disordered desires directed towards the apparent goods such as money, fame, sex, or power.
The natural man is the example of what we should not follow if we believe in the Lord Jesus, because the love of Jesus is the love projected towards the whole creation of God. The spirit and the flesh represent opposite mentalities in the doctrine of the Kingdom of God.
This is why Saint Jude, brother of the disciple James, wrote in his epistle about the natural men:
"Remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, ´In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.´ These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit" Jude 1:17-19.
