Day 65:) Its all about the Lenses

That’s how we fight or argue in day to day life. Isn’t it true? Let me narrate an instance from this book

You are sitting peacefully in a restaurant with your partner and sipping coffee or tea. You see many other people doing the same around you. Suddenly, 2 children and their father enter. The kids make too much noise sitting on the table next to you. Being positive, you ignore it for some time and then it reaches your tolerance level. You ask the man, “Doesn’t you should pay little attention to keep the children numb?” He replied back, “Yeah, you are right. I should. However, I don’t know how I may proceed. They lost their mother just an hour back.” By now your paradigm for the family will shift, feeling embarrassed or guilt.

We used to belief the earth is flat, until someone proved and changed our paradigm that the planet is round. Perception is one of the most fundamental pillars of human life. We may be full of positivity and have the right attitude. However, if we don’t have the right perception, we are headed in the wrong direction. We can’t reach from Delhi to Bangalore by having Europe’s map, putting on all the efforts, and keeping the behavior calm.

“We see the world the way we are.”

Observing the same thing from different viewpoints can give us a better picture of the situation. Its very important to practice free fall listening else we just try to fill the gaps from our experience and miss the bigger picture. Most of the misunderstanding people have is because of the conflicting perception and everyone of us is trying to proof oneself correct instead of listening to others views.

Hope you put on a better lens.
