In the video below I show the different sections of my new mountain. I am looking for ideas on how to design the mountain to live completely off the grid by being self-sustainable. To accomplish this I will be teaching my-self how to grow my own food using permaculture design. A design which will work in conjunction with the surroundings of the mountain, how the wind blows, the water falls, the climate, native plants, terrain features, path of the sun and so on. I also want to build an eco-friendly house that does more than just give shelter. For this I am looking into the earthship design principles thought by Michael Reynolds founder of Earthship Biotecture in Taos, New Mexico.
This project combines many of my life long dreams. Such as living on a mountain completely peaceful and surrounded by nature. To add to that will be the sharing with others for free the natural organic food I grow because our health is the most important thing we have and it fully depends on what we eat. I also want to do everything I can to protect our environment (the planet) by not producing waste. Which is why I sold my gas car in 2010 and so far have refused to own another vehicle until I can afford one that is environmentally friendly. As I learn permaculture I want to teach people everything I learn so they can do it too. Thanks to the internet I'll be able to share the progress. Unless the companies who own the cowards in government destroy the planet before we good people can save it.
Please watch the video and send me your opinion, ideas or tips about building materials, water collection, plants or trees to grow, animals to raise, anything at all that can help me fulfill my dream the right way the 1st time without too many mistakes (mistakes cost money & time).
