Looking back, gathering strength

IMG_20180316_005114_215.jpg People will tell you, don't look back. But for me, looking back is a chance to recall memories and challenges. Here I am at 24, headed out to take care of my sheep. At the time any local farmers in the area who had a lamb that was born lame or had been injured by the mother stepping on it and needed an amputation, would call me. They knew I would rescue the baby, bottle feed it, love it and raise it as a pet. I had quite the flock of three legged sheep! What this experience taught me is that no matter what handicap someone has, with a little nurturing and love, they can overcome any obstacle life hands out. How many times do we look at challenges and just want to give up? We have to keep going! We have to be like those three legged sheep; hopping, scrambling and running , full speed ahead.
