One of the human personality is being an introvert. When you ask a random person about one, he or she imagines a shy, sullen looking person. This is a mistake made by a lot of people in their descriptions, making us underrated, but you should not be bothered because you have a great personality in us—the SIGMA trait—and I will tell you how to unlock it.The Sigma trait is a personality trait which people refer also to as the lone wolf. They are a set of unique, introverted alpha males known for their silent but cunning way of achieving their goal. A lot or every introverts have the ability to attain this trait. We are gifted with its most important characteristics, which is being ALONE. Being alone’s meaning might vary, but for introverts, it is our best time to recharge, we crave for it. We are to carry out tasks without seeking human validation. We do not seek attention. We are not bothered being the guy sitting alone in a bar, or the girl with a book stuck in her nose all the time. Is acquiring this trait a trick to make you extroverted? Yes and no. Every introverts wish is a peaceful secluded shelter, with all the things that keeps us from people. To achieve this, you need the resources( financially). So how do we do this? The first attribute we must possess, but it’s what most of you struggle with, is CONFIDENCE. Let me tell you how I overcame mine. Growing up, I saw those people walking around, doing whatever they liked, not caring about what people say. I envied and admire them at the same time. I got elected into leadership positions, in which I flopped badly (I will talk about it some other time). My performance haunted me for some time, but this pushed me to change, and I decided to unlock my sigma. I read a lot of books on leadership, but it wasn’t enough, so I decided to be practical. I worked as an engineering apprentice, which taught me to be with people. For some time, I didn’t talk to anyone; I just did what the boss said and went home. But can you know practical things without asking questions? No. I forced myself to ask the boss and other people around me. I engaged in small talks, brought up discussions, but kept quiet to listen to their opinions. I joined the ushering unit in the church. It wasn’t easy, and it took God’s help and determination not to give up. I later discovered that people hardly notice me or anyone else while standing. This mindset made me walk around people without caring because “they do not notice people like me”. These two things I did helped a lot in being able to interact and glean information, without revealing much that I know or about myself. I was still invisible.Reading and research skillsIt is no surprise that a lot of introverts are intelligent. Rather than spend time with people we love, we bury our noses in a book. A lot of great people recommend reading to be successful, but we have a skill a lot of people don’t have, which is in-depth research. After watching a movie, do you spend time checking out the cast and learning more about them? Do you read novels and come across things that make you want to know more about them? 90% of us do this. It is an insatiable thirst to know more about science, technology, theories, etc. Do you know this skill can be helpful around you? Yeah. Having in-depth knowledge of a situation or workplace makes you find a way to manipulate things or people to get what you want while your trait (introversion) cloaks you. We also acquire problem-solving skills through this, such as being calm and having a solution when something bad happens. Exercising. As an introvert, there is nothing that can stop you from looking fit or having inner strength. Add exercising to that routine of sleeping, reading, and watching movies. Push-ups, squats, weight lifting, etc. are exercises we can do alone in our comfort. Shy of the gym? Stay home and workout with no equipment? buy. no money? Check online for equipments free workouts and calisthenics. Looking strong, keeping your shape and beauty but quiet, makes people have a second thought about you. This also builds your confidence. Exploration Visiting restaurants, skiing, mountain climbing, etc. are different ways to understand people and discover things. As introverts, we have the ability to understand the human soul. Imagine exploring and discovering beautiful places, then taking that girl or coworker you need something from to see or have dinner with them, making them feel special They look at you in a different way, trying to understand and crack your mysterious nature. All that matters is getting what you want. This might sound selfish, but we just want to be left alone and to do that we need to acquire the luxury. Finally, you must understand that doing this won’t stop you from being an introvert. We must stop confusing introversion with shyness. The goal is to gain an amount of extroversion to deal with people and achieve what we want. There is a saying I love: “Most people want to make money to be known; I want to make money to disappear”. So get up, use the sigma in you to be successful, and disappear.
