Although the Bengali cat looks like a wild cat, it is described as a friendly, obedient, playful, social and curious cat. They are not afraid of water, even they can join their owners as they swim, if they are all under their conditions.
It's important to know what to buy when you want a bengal cat because it needs to be four generations of leopard cats. If you are buying a second or a third generation, you need to be sure that you have no problems with your behavior and that it is not wild.
Benglasa's cat is a hybrid that a man made by mixing an Asian leopard cat with a domestic cat. The leopard cat is very similar to the domestic cat just having bigger eyes, pronounced cushion pads, longer legs and leopard pattern. They're actually like a miniature leopard. The Bengali cat was born in 1963. She started her way to confess her as a breed when a female leopard cat was bought by her husband Jean Mill from California. At that time, leopard cats could be bought in the US, and today it is illegal. He did not try to create a new kind of cat but only wanted a unique pet.
After a few years, Mill thought her cat was lonely, so she joined a cage in a cage to help her make her a company. She did not expect any romantic relationship but she was surprised when in 1965 a leopard cat produced a litter.
Only one kitten survived a hybrid female, and they called her Kin-Kin. Mill contacted the Cornell University Collage of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, New York, for advice on how to handle hybrid cats, and told her Kin Kin was probably sterile. It turned out to be incorrect. Kin-Kin grew up, mingled with her father, and there were two kittens. One was black and inherited the temperament of leopard cats because no one could approach him. The other kitten has mostly inherited all the domestic cats.
In the first fusion of leopard cats with domestic shortcuts, male kittens were infertile, as is the case with all hybrids. The females have been fertile since the beginning, and the male only in the later generations.
Unlike other breeds, the Bengali cat has an ideal temperament, safe, curious, friendly and alert.
The picture you posted is not of a Bengal Cat, it's a Savannah Cat.

Unlike other cats, lions have a tuft of hair at the end of their tails.
