I love the deep dark but still warm Purple on these Lupines :)
It looks almost like velvet :)
These are easy to grow and very rewarding.
They can grow 1 to 4 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide depending on the selection.
Give them loose soil and a sunny spot.
Lupines can be annual or perennial depending on the sort.
Plants that look great beside them are:
tulips, daffodils, California poppy, Oriental poppy and peonies.
If you look for an easy growing plant, this is the one
and it comes in many colors :)

Very pretty! :) We have wild Blue Lupine growing around here. It is important to the survival of the endangered Karner Blue Butterfly.
