Going back to the age of dinosaurs these tree trunks are very very old, but they reveal such interesting history. The colors of the trunks are so beautiful. The Petrified Forest National Park is a location that has changed so much in the last 225 million years. From forest to desert. Samples of these dried up old tree stumps can tell us much about the distant past. What kind of environments existed in the area at that time, the weather, and even ecological catastrophe, etc.
This park is a major tourist attraction in Arizona so if you are interested come out to AZ and see the attraction and learn a little pre history. I love pre history especially the age of dinosaurs. I love to learn about dinosaurs, but also other life that existed back then. That age had so much going on and so many different forms of life that we ask questions and seek knowledge of. There were many forms of plant life back then that were consumed by creatures big and small like these now dried out stumps. There are primitive palm trees that still around today that were fed on back then.
