Starting to question my own judgement....

My wife and I are on a mini vacation and for the first time ever, we decided to bring my Rottie with us. We've had him since 2009 and every year when we go out of town, we board him at a nice boarding facility. The boarding place that he usually stays in is extremely nice! It has spacious rooms that they call "villas". They also have a very nice playground outside. Needless to say, we spoil this guy!

I miss him so much when we go on vacation, I didn't want to leave him this time. Well, the trip in the car couldn't have went any better. He was so well behaved and he loves to ride anyway so that was an awesome start! When we finally get to our hotel, he again makes me proud by being nice to strangers and obeying all of my commands. I was concerned that once we leave him in the room by himself, he would start barking. We conducted a short test run and he again, impressed the hell out of me.

Well here's where the problem surfaces. When I took him outside before bedtime to use the bathroom, he went nuts with all the new and unfamiliar scents left by who knows how many other pets and even started smitting on a cute little Cocker spaniel that was in the parking lot 🐶💓. Once we got back to the room, he started acting like he had to go again. Too make a long and miserable story short, it's 0500 in the morning and I haven't had a wink of sleep 😫😡. I can't wait to see how the rest if the trip goes....
