Man's Best Friend.

My boy is Loyal

He's 85lbs of wrinkles and slobber but he's on my side. This boy has been with me for 9 years, which for an English Bulldog, that's pretty old. I Got him when he was 6 weeks old and could fit in your hand.

That's my boy at 3 months old. He has the biggest feet I have every seen. Now you are proabbly wondering what I call him, it's simple he is known as the Shiiit, cause he is a show stopper. Na really his name is Axel. Yep you guessed it, I was a huge Guns-n- Roses fan. Now he can't dance or sing in fact now a days he doesn't even walk very much.

He's always been afraid of the rain. When he was Lillie the only way he would go out side when it was raining is if he had his raincoat on. Unfortunately he is to damn fat to fit into one now a days.

Now English Bulldogs Are a special Breed, they are the most loyal breed that I have every had. Now they do require a LOT of medical attention. Axel required a lot of medical when he was younger. He had a Cherry eye when he was 6 months old, a cherry is when a the bottom tear gland rolls out of the eye, this is caused from heavy wrinkles under the eye. You have 2 options when this happens, they can roll it back in or you can have the gland removed. I had his rolled back in 3 times and finally we had it removed, now once you habe it removed, you will have to put drops in their eye for the rest of their lives.

That's not Axel, just an example of a cherry eye.

One thing for sure, my Boy does not leave my side when I am at the house. He does do this very weird thing with his tongue. Almost like he is a frog or a snake. Check this pictures out.

Anyways I am glad you got to meet my best bud. He's fat and slobbery, but he's got my back.

                    This post was bitter sweet for me. I wrote a post yesterday as it's hard watching our fur babies get old. It's depressing and there is nothing we can do except make them as happy as we can every day.

                    I was also talking about English Bulldogs with my wife today as I wish they didn't have so many issues when they get older as they are so freaking cute!
