‘I love walking my dog Digby in the park in London. It’s a great way to let the world pass you by and get your head around things.’
Lucy Watson, Made In Chelsea star
‘One of my favourite walking routes is the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which twists and turns its way along 186 miles of spectacular Welsh coastline. The path can be enjoyed in short sections. We recently featured a linear walk (about five miles) from Saundersfoot to Tenby, which offered some glorious views, great off-lead walking for the dog, plus some dog-friendly places to eat in Tenby.’
Sarah Wright, editor, Your Dog magazine
‘I love walking Monkey, Coco and Roxy on Sugar Loaf Mountain, near where I live in County Wicklow. They keep you healthy and we keep them healthy, plus you get all the other benefits… Like peace and quiet.’

‘My favourite walk is in Thetford Forest in Norfolk. It’s so peaceful and I love watching the deer and the birds.’
Caroline Kisko, secretary, the Kennel Club
‘Martinshaw Wood, Leicestershire, is a large woodland with wonderful wide pathways, and a blend of conifer trees and strong natives such as oak. My long-haired Jack Russell, Nelly, loves exploring the undergrowth, and has plenty of space she can run around in. What’s also great about Martinshaw is that it’s home to species such as the mistle thrush and great spotted woodpecker – making the walk even more interesting for me!’
Steve Marsh, Woodland Trust
‘My favourite walk with my Golden Retriever William is Bamburgh Beach in Northumberland. Miles of golden sand as far as the eye can see, overlooked by the historic Bamburgh Castle.’
