IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PROJECT.HOPE TEAM: please do not ask other community members FOR MONEY

INTRODUCTION

line2.png

Good morning everyone,

Since all my publications on HIVE are being downvoted to zero - I decided that I won't be bothered to post there any more. At least for the time being.

There is just to many haters and some people seem to take great joy in expressing their hate towards me. Most of the time, I'm not sure what is the reason behind their agressive behaviours and I've learned not to care. And for that reason, I will be publishing my own posts only on Steemit.

It simply doesn't seem to make much sense to attract more of this hostile attention.

Anyway, .... TODAY, I want to discuss important and quite sensitive issue ....

IMPORTANT REMINDER: DO NOT ASK FOR MONEY

line2.png

This is a message I would like to be received by all Project.hope members. Especially those who are part of our core team and are supported financially (with some STEEM/HIVE) on a weekly basis.

Please consider it to be a sensitive and important topic, which I need to bring up today. And to be honest, I'm not even sure how to start ...

It has been brought to my attention that some of our PH core team members are asking others for financial support, making them feel awkward and uneasy. This HAS TO STOP.

It's not the first time I'm learning about similar cases. We had similar incidents happening in the past and my goal is always to educate our group - instead of punishing anyone. And for that reason, I always took the extra effort to find out who is asking around for money and talk to this person.

Unfortunately, it's never easy since those who are being bothered and whose financial support is being requested - they simply do not feel comfortable bringing up names. Which is making things even more complicated for me.

After all, knowing that one of our close community members are asking around for money and not knowing who is this person is putting me in a very strange position. One that I do not enjoy. The last thing I want is to witness some of our community members building distance towards Project.hope Core Team because of "one bad apple".

This is such an easy way to lose some of our members.

IT HAS TO STOP

line2.png

I need to make it clear. Such behaviors need to stop.

Perhaps you're a close friend to one of the PH members and you want to ask him for financial help. I understand that. But DO NOT ask around people who are not very close to you. Who you hardly know.

This is so wrong on so many levels.

If you need financial help, then come to me. I will figure out if there is anything you could do to help our PH community grow, so you wouldn't receive "donation". Instead, I will try to give you an opportunity to earn a few bucks.

IF YOU'RE VICTIM OF SUCH A REQUEST

line2.png

If you're one of the "victims" of a similar request, then do not hesitate to say "no". Or simply ignore that request and keep in mind, that YOU ARE NOT IN WRONG to refuse.

I'm fully aware of how difficult it is to "rat" on others. But I would appreciate it if you could inform me about a similar situation. I will always handle it in a polite and mature manner. Without punishing or threatening anyone but rather by simply talking and educating on the consequences to our community.

PLEASE CONFIRM

line2.png

Please drop a short comment, which would allow me to figure out who did and who didn't read this post. At least something saying "I confirm reading, I respect and understand".

and it's also sad that people are asking for money...

Thanks for this post. Please PH is not a charity organization. Let those who are involved stop such harassment and habit. Cheers all!

I confirm reading, I respect and understand

Solid reading my friend.

This is crystal clear, the idea is to stop this behavior on the part of the one who executes it, with me they have not done it, that is why I did not know about this practice, we must repudiate this practice of asking for alms for the sake of project hope.

Hello friend @coach.piotr, I have read the article and I understand, it is really sad that this is happening and I agree that the best option is to turn to you as you are a great leader and surely you can find a solution. Greetings!

I have read the post, and understand.

I confirm reading this post and I understand the write-up

I completely agree with you.

😢

hi - I confirm reading this post and fully understand your statement. Keep up the good work and support for the community.

On the one hand I understand what happens and unfortunately when a community grows it faces this kind of things, in my opinion to make clear the mechanisms to make a request is the best, on the other hand the idea of this community is to grow in knowledge that can make a change in people, For these reasons "Apply for financial assistance is frowned upon and is not acceptable".

I confirm reading the post and understand.

It's really not cool asking random people we haven't meet in person for money this is highly unlikely for users.

Greetings @coach.piotr, we know that the situation is hard for some, but handouts is not the best way to generate some income.

Piotr just mentioned it in his writing, it is better to go to him and generate some work in support of the PH community that allows us to earn a few extra dollars.

Remember dear user with this actions more than benefit you, you affect us all and even more to the dynamics of @project.hope.

Good afternoon PH community!

A regrettable situation that if not mentioned could leave the PH community in a bad light, that is why this publication is important to clarify the situation.

Regarding what is happening in HIVE is a shame that some take these attitudes that do not lead anywhere!

Have a great day!

Wow. I'm surprised by this situation, somehow it affects the rest of the core team as well.

I'm going to find a way to find out who is hurting us. We all know that there is nothing hidden on the blockchain.

I had no knowledge of this situation, I hope it stops, we must be strong as a community to continue growing , thanks for everything @coach.piotr you are an angel

How unfortunate this situation, until now no one has contacted me for that purpose, I would have to report it immediately to the community. There are people who take advantage of such beautiful projects that seek to support others, it is a shame. I will be attentive and spread the word so that they do not fall into that robbery. @coach.piotr

To be honest in very initial days when i was new hear i use to think of asking for help but never did that or bothered someone by asking yes i do have certain close friends and we kind of exchange some good bond and friendship so that's why sometimes it is good to take help but from a complete stranger going around for help is something which I don't think is a good idea as well as no one should do it.

@tipu curate

Mi apoyo para ti y tu labor

Hi, @coach.piotr,
Thank you for informing us of this situation, it is unfortunate that this is happening.

Hello @coach.piotr
I definitely agree with you: "It has to stop", whoever is doing it.
This could affect the image of the community.
I confirm the reading, I respect and understand.

This is really surprising, the community have always been in support from day one, always trying their best. We should appreciate them by not engaging in awful act, if someone need help, he or she should message the right person which si @coach.piotr instead of disturbing other members. Such act can really bring in bad report to the community. Please we should all desist from such act.

This attitude is not good within the community. I've never asked money from any community member and by God's grace, I won't have a cause to ask.

I confirm reading, I respect and understand

It is very unfortunate that there are users who prefer to ask for money on Discord rather than take advantage of the potential and opportunity provided by the platform, where they can capitalize on resources either by blogging content, and then increase those resources through other types of activities such as trandig. Certainly friend @crypto.piotr is a sensitive issue, and should be addressed in the best way. Best regards, be well.

Yeah let's all try to get civil around here.

I understand the entire post , though i have not wrote much for the community but i think this thing must stop.
thank you 😊

I confirm reading, I respect and understand.

It's nice you shared this content, Piotr, as to ensure that members of the community know what to do if such situation arise again but I hope it's the last of it.

Hi Piotr, I understand.
I have read the post. Yes, the best thing in any situation would be to approach you or someone who is truly trusted, someone who is close. But to be asking someone you've never dealt with is kind of awkward.

Very well said. This act need to stop. I confirm reading this post.

This act need to stop because if it continues, it can affect the image of the community later soon.

I read and understand this properly. I have never ask of money from any community member.

Instead of asking for money, ask what you can do for the community, contribute to the community and the money will follow. It also builds reciprocity and friends. I know it's easier to ask for money, but easy money is never sustainable.

I think it is not professional way to ask for financial help in this community. However, I have never received any request nor I have asked anyone for financial help.

I confirm reading, I respect and understand.

Neither approached by someone nor approached anyone.
Anyways, Got the point.
It indeeds puts other person in uncomfortable position and also puts a question mark on how things work in a community.

Thanks for Sharing!

I confirm reading, I respect and understand.

I have definitely read the post and basically the message here is clear, let's try to be Civil and not paint a bad name for the community by spamming people with begging messages. It doesn't help build trust at all. Reblogged.

I confirm reading, I respect and understand. Well said @coach.piotr.

I habe read and understood every letter, On behalf og the entire project hope members and for anyone eho had done that act, i apologize.

I'll like to mention that your leadership is inspiring and since you are a free man who gives attention to everyone of the community members, it has been well said that member should find a task around the community rather than tarnishing the image of the community.

Stay awesome sir.

And i hope the person concerned would stop that act.

Hi @adesojisouljay

you are a free man who gives attention to everyone of the community members

Thanks for your kind and supportive words. That's my job :)

Most people care about money, others consider their stocks, gold, crypto to be their asset. I see valuable contacts and healthy relationships with people I care about to be my most valuable asset.

Cheers, Piotr

Thanks for always being who you are.

🙏

Hi @coach.piotr

I confirm reading, I respect and understand. I will follow this strictly and people who do this type of act must stop it. Thanks.

Sad to hear about those downvotes on Hive... I have read this, an luckily, I haven't met those "beggers" myself, but I am glad that you have made us all aware of this so that we can face the situation with wisdom!

I read it, buddy. Aren't you going to post on Hive anymore? I haven't posted in a while on both platforms; I didn't know Hive became a hostile place. That's awful...

So... Should I power down over there and use that money to power up here?

Let me know about it...

On the other hand, I don't know who's asking for money... But you should take him/her out of the community. There are people who do these things because they like to do the easiest thing. They are the parasites of society.

From time to time, it is necessary to cut the weeds that grow in the garden.

Sad to hear that happens. But a hope the persons concerned would take caution.

I confirm reading, I respect and understand
This is a serious issue .Glad you brought it to my notice @coach.piotr

Greetings friend @crypto.piotr.

Totally clear and solid, actually never happened to me and I did not know it was happening in the community, hopefully this situation will end.

Thank you leader for the information provided.

I hope this practice stops soon. The PH community is being tarnished in a bad way by this act.

It is a despicable practice but it happens more often than it seems. I have read the post

  ·  4 years ago (edited)

Hello dear @coach.piotr, this is an uncomfortable situation because it is not clear in the terms that said person is requesting help or asking for money.

Particularly as some of our friends in the community know, I am a Pastor in Venezuela and we have an initiative called HOPE DAY, we have promoted this initiative on the platform through the account @hope.venezuela, through this program we are taking breakfasts children in Venezuela, which has had a positive impact on our streets.

Some time ago I decided to separate my personal account that I normally use for my activities in Project HOPE @fucho80, from my other activities and I created the accounts @steem.faith to post about my faith and @hope.venezuela for matters related to charity .

Now, with @hope.venezuela we are publishing and being very transparent with the funds we receive, I must say that we have not received donations, all the support we receive is through Upvote and we work with the rewards generated by these publications.

This activity is totally detached from Project HOPE and the publications of @hope.venezuela are not done in the community.

If this is the case, then I am guilty and if not, I think it should be clear and explicitly mention who is doing it and why.

This is my opinion friends, greetings!

Greetings friend @crypto.piotr, I have read the post and I understand. I have not been contacted by any user requesting money, I will be attentive to any such situation, it is a delicate issue that should be treated with care.

I must confess that on several occasions I have received direct support (loans) from some Venezuelan colleagues from our core team, who have understood a situation in which I have been immersed at some point and have supported me.
I give them my biggest thanks.

Perhaps the fact of living in Venezuela makes it easier to understand the difficult moments of life.
With these "acts of trust" the bonds of friendship between members can even be strengthened.

But, I have never witnessed anyone in our community asking for money or begging.

It's really sad to see people do this knowing fully well that people they are asking from are not dummies. I understand you and I hope this actually stops.

Read it and it is sad that you have to address an issue like this.

Hope it is solved soon and won't occur anymore.

Greetings friend @crypto.piort

I think that charity is not a way to live, there are many ways to earn money and I think this is not the most correct within the blockchain, particularly to me it has not happened, no user has asked me for money, if I were to ask, I will send it to talk to you.

See you later, have a great weekend !

I confirm reading, I respect and understand

Thanks for the information, I have read the post and I am aware of the situation. So far no one has contacted me to ask for money, I will remain vigilant. Regards

Morale is low these days. Read the post

Hi @crypto.piotr, I confirm to have read the post and I understand it, so far no one has contacted me to make such a request, I will keep an eye out for it.
