Haggai and Zechariah were the two prophets raised in a time to inspire Israel rebuild the temple. At this time, the temple of Israel had been rebuilt to a certain period, but as the Bible says, enemies came in from the north and frustrated the work. So, God had to raise Haggai and Zechariah to inspire the children of God to finish what was started.
By this, I am not addressing one beginning from scratch, but I speak to someone who began a work and felt at some point things have been stuck. Such a person has been telling God something has to move them, they have to go higher. When they look around, the foundation has been laid, there are walls on the sides, but they got to the middle of the work and something frustrated it.
I have GOOD NEWS for you! The glory of the latter Church shall be greater than the glory of the former (Haggai 2:9a). The hands that began to build it Zerubbabel, the same hands shall finish it. For the Bible says, the LORD despises not humble beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). He says, Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it (Zechariah 4:7).
What is that thing you think is going to frustrate you? I have good news for you; nothing will stand in your way! Nothing will stop you from being the man God has created you to be and you shouldn't be sorry that you are a success! You shouldn't be sorry that you are wise! You shouldn't be sorry that you are increasing!
We have entered a time and zone where God has started to shake economies for the saints; the believers; He has started to shake political systems for believers; He is shaking business institutions for believers just as He is shaking educational institutions for believers. You better receive this or die a survivor.
The greatest engineers must come from the Church; the best doctors must come from here; the most successful business men must come from here too; the biggest schools must come from us; the biggest hospitals must come from us; the most successful things and the biggest buildings in the world must come from the Church of Christ, and yes, we will also have glory such that the world can ask us questions like: "How do you do it?"
A time is coming not far from now where men won't have any choice, but they will call on the name of the LORD. They will look at us and just call on God. They will look at the health, success, wisdom, the intelligence by which we work, the perfection of the things and the excellence by which we do things, and they will call on the name of the LORD.
In the name of Jesus, Amen!
