Ancient Pharaohs

Pharaoh is the title for the kings of ancient Egypt who reigned for thousands of years, especially during the Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, and New Kingdom. Pharaohs in ancient times had absolute power and were considered gods that the people of Egypt had to respect and worship. Pharaohs are also known for building pyramids and other great monuments, as well as organizing agricultural, economic and military work. Today, there are no Pharaohs in Egypt, as the country has shifted to a republican form of government since the Egyptian Revolution in 1952. For example, the powers of the current Egyptian president are relatively strong, and he has a great deal of authority in making political and economic decisions. In addition, the Egyptian people still uphold the values and traditions of the past, and the architecture and culture of ancient Egypt are still popular tourist attractions around the world.
