Recently I watched a documentary on youtube about women who work as housemaids abroad, particularly women from the Philippines. A lot of them are going for example to Saudi Arabia, Libanon or Hongkong to work there, and they dont only make positive experiences also many of them really suffer psychical and physical abuses from their employer. I knew already about it but everytime I watch something like that its really sad. Most of women stay few years abroad without seeing their children and family. How desperate they are to leave them just to earn better money? In the video they say its kind of a modern slavery and that describes it very well.
Those women work hard without having privacy, no holidays, etc... I cannot believe that this is happening. Thank god there are some organisations who helps women who are in trouble, who ran away from their employers.
