Over the ocean
I have traveled
My life at home
Had become unraveled

I'm searching for a way
To make things right
A place where my budget
Will not be so tight

I decided the Philippines
Would be the right place
It's not too expensive
And there is no rat race

I built me a house
Close to the sea
I bought lots of beer
And also some tea

The air is so fresh
All morning and night
The view is so lovely
It's a beautiful sight

Life is too short
To work all the time
I want to enjoy myself
While still in my prime

I think my life here
Is ever so grand
And things are working
Almost as planned

Sometimes I wonder
If I didn't move here
What would I be doing
Throughout the whole year

For when I was there
I could not find a job
I was sitting around
Turning into a blob

I started a blog
A voice of some means
I gave it the name of
Texan in the Philippines

Sometimes I miss
My Mom and my Dad
And I know that sometimes
They are also so sad

I hope to visit
Whenever I can
Next time I see them
I will have a nice tan
