Why I Started this Information Exchange about the Philippines

I started an FB Fundraiser to recover our inheritance in the Philippines. But then, I was thinking, what will people get from it? What can I give them? But let me start from the beginning.

Pandemic Postponed Travel

My brother passed away last March 2020 just before the quarantine. I was not able to go to the Philippines due to the pandemic. Yet paperwork and estate deadlines are still ongoing. I have to do stuff through representatives. I had to deal with banks and government agencies. Every week, I had to figure out how to do stuff in the Philippines. It's like having a second job. There should be some purpose to this.

Realization

Then I thought, maybe there are other people like me who are trying to figure out how to do stuff in the Philippines while they are abroad. And if there are, maybe, I should document anything that I learn while dealing with Philippine paperwork from afar. So Pilipinas Information Exchange was born together with an FB Blogging Page. So this is my offer to those who are stuck abroad like me but need to do stuff in the Philippines. This will also be my offering to anyone who might read, support and even give to our FB Fundraiser to recover Nanay Mena's legacy.
