The grasshopper body consists of 3 main parts, namely head, chest (thorax) and abdomen (abdomen). Grasshoppers also have six six foot jointed, 2 pairs of wings, and 2 antennas. The mantis have 5 eyes (2 compound eye, and 3 ocelli). Grasshoppers belong to a group of outer framing animals (exoskeleton). Other examples of animals with exoskeleton are crabs and lobsters. The grass will usually sound like a cricket to attract mates.

Grasshoppers are certainly familiar to us and even we often encounter in everyday life, grasshoppers have many types and shapes, colors and different sizes, but this one locust meliki colors that resemble leaves or grass so it is difficult we see it because the color.

Metamorphosis of Grasshopper
Grasshoppers are animals that undergo imperfect metamorphosis. Imperfect metamorphosis is a metamorphosis that only has 3 stages, namely egg, nymph, and imago (adult). Where the physical appearance between nymph and imago is not much different. Other examples of insects with imperfect metamorphoses are aphids, crickets and cockroaches. Whereas perfect metamorphosis is a metamorphosis that has four stages: egg, nymph, pupa, and imago. The stage that distinguishes imperfect metamorphosis with perfect metamorphosis is the pupa stage (cocoon). Another difference is the physical appearance of nymphs and imago insects that undergo perfect metamorphosis very differently. Examples of insects with perfect metamorphosis are beetles, butterflies, bees, wasps, and flies.
