Hi Steemit family,

Today, the SteemPH Cebu, a community account based in Cebu, Philippines held a successful charity event in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is the first event of many more to come that @steemph.cebu hosted.

This charity event is in line with the celebration of World Food Day (October 14 - 16, 2017). The event aimed is to feed a target of 150 children and provide them a new pairs of slippers.

I don't have that much to give or fund for the said event. The only thing that I can show my support is to be one of the volunteers in the field. It's truly a big privilege to be one of the volunteers, you know. Not everybody is given the opportunity to be able to witness the unspoken happiness every children felt while receiving their early Christmas gift today, not from Santa but from all Steemians who funded the event to make it happen.

The success of the mentioned event today is a proof that Steemit is growing to heal the world and making it a better place. This is another milestone achievement from Steemit Family.

To the @steemph.cebu leaders, to all the sponsors and to all other volunteers, my happiness is bursting to congratulate all of us for this successful day.

Details About The Event

Date: October 15, 2017 (Sunday)
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 nn.
Venue: Mandaue City Reclamation Area, Metro Cebu, Philippines (Settlers inside CICC)

Anyone, a Steemit user or not can volunteer to the said event. I'm proud to be one of them. Aside from Steemit funding, any individual can also donate goods, clothes, toys, or anything for the children.

But not limit for individuals who wants to donate something for the children.
