Kawa Bath: The newest trend of Bathing in the Philippines

in philippines •  7 years ago

Hi @steemits @steemians, I know some of you are not yet familiar with the thing that is used now in the Philippines in bathing. This is called a "Kawa Bath."

Originally, Kawa is a large flat pot or cooking pan that is like a big bowl made in a metal pot used in cooking rice or any dish in large amount especially in celebrating fiestas in the Philippines.

But this has been originally first used in the province of Antique, as way or manner of bathing where you will be refreshed and feel like living in a paradise away from worries.

Recently, I visited the province of Rizal, specifically in the town of Tanay where there is a private place there offers a kawa bathing that is same from that of Antique.

The Kawa is being put in a fire, where you will be taking a bath inside the giant pot while it is boiling. The water has its ornament, a petals of flower floating it.

You can enjoy the Kawa bath with your friends. It is good for 4 persons , so you can share it with your barkadas.

This is really so cool. Hope you will be able to experience it when you visit Philippines.😉

So this is how it looks like. Photo credit to the owner, since I don't have a chance to take a bath there. Hehe
