The Philippines is hot especially this time of year. It is cheap to live here compared to the uk. One can build or buy a house here for a fraction of the cost of buying a house in the uk. However foreigners are not allowed to have more than a 49 per cent ownership in the purchase of a house. Buying a Condo here is different though as a foreigner can purchase a Condo outright. I think somebody from the west can live quite well when converting their dollars, pounds, euros etc to the Philippines peso

princepr, thank you for your comment and question. Actually I have been thinking lately that i will try and write some posts and post them here on steemit. I lead quite a busy life so it's just a matter of making time for this.

To be honest i dont really know the exact figure. I started buying steem back in july 2016 and was also buying steem when it was under 50 cents. I'm quite ok to just leave the steem i have in steempower on the steemit platform and see how it goes
