Palo-sebo (from the Spanish stick/pole grease) is a traditional Filipino game usually played during festivities or important ocassions in the provinces. The game is so exciting that its among few traditional games that's still being played up to this day.

It's a local variant of the greasy pole, likely derived from the Spanish cucaña.

The game includes a long pole made of bamboo with grease wherein players need to climb the slippery pole to reach the prize tied at the top usually in a form cash, toys or a flag that represents the prize.

It may be played by two or more players, unsually by kids but it could be fun too when played by adults. It takes a lot of effort and team work to win this game.

The first team to reach the top to secure the prize wins the game.

Here's a video of an actual palosebo competition with a twist held somewhere in Mexico. You have to watch this!
