Dear Steemians...
Tiriskan.
English
Bulukat kuneng, that is the name we used to call for the yellow rice we get at certain events in Aceh. Kuneng Bulukat has its own history value for us in Aceh, even almost every ceremony held.
The brooch of the kuneng has a symbolic meaning to take blessings, sacred and has certain magical elements that are expected to come from every ritual performed in Aceh. Although in essence the blessing only comes from the Creator.
For example, on peusijuek rituals, the most important part of the kuneng ranch is to be prepared in the ritual other than some other devices such as rice and rice mixed, then water-mixed flour, cocor duck, grass and hand wash. For the people of Aceh, each of these materials has a special philosophy and meaning embodied in it.
But for the ingredients of making the yellow bulukat (yellow ketan) as follows:
Glutinous rice (as we expected)
Turmeric
Coconut milk
Pandan leaves
Lemongrass
Salt
How to Make:
Low glutinous rice and turmeric that had been powdered for 1 hour. Drain. Then steam for about 20 minutes until the glutinous rice (bloom). Then boiled coconut milk, pandan leaves, lemongrass and salt to taste while stirring until boiling, then Enter the ketan that braised boiled earlier into it, stirring until evenly distributed. And steam for about 30 minutes until cooked.
Then lift and remove the spices we put earlier such as bay leaves, lemongrass and pandan leaves. Print as we expect the shape to be more interesting. And the yellow bulukat (yellow sticky rice) is ready to serve.
