There is no escape from one’s self!!

in philosophy •  6 years ago  (edited)

What is the point of winning others’ acceptance and being rejected by one’s self? At the end of the day, no two persons share the same heart, no one hears the thoughts of the nearest one to him, and no one’s conscience hurts another.

I escaped it twice.

What were you thinking 23.77hrs ago? Was it the same self as ther current one, or different?

Thoughts are not the self neither are they comprise identity. I meant the authentic one that couldn’t be compromised for acceptance of others without consequences.

Id speculate thats infinity...

Also, i think time and space are interconnected.

Yes, they are. But what is that related to the self?

The self depends on time.

🤔 I don’t think so. Our thoughts, emotions, values, and attitudes may change overtime. But what we are on a deeper level is more stable and independent.

And yes that would also fit my model as conciousness being the stable independent aspect. Completely free of and simultaneously intimately one with all phenomena.

I come from a Buddhist Taoist Advaita perspective, well and scientific. So there is no self, just a series of ever changing phenomena, all appearing in and ultimately made out of conciousness which is always here now (the Real Self) pure experiencing, knowing/being.

This is absolutely correct. But, it is a deeper level than the one I used to wtite this post.

Lol yes, i always injoy the read. And reality is pretty cool in my book, inspite of the crap. Ty ty)))
