The Consequence Of Your Actions: The Trolley Problem ๐Ÿš‰

in philosophy โ€ขย  7 years agoย

The Trolley Problem is a very well known philosophical debate. I discussed the Trolley Problem and its choices in my last post. If you have not read that, you can read it here.

In this post, I will talk about the morality of your choice in the Trolley Problem and whether or not it was the best choice for not only the men on the track but for you.

Is It Good To Involve Oneself?

Moral objectives should, without a shadow of a doubt, be negative. Or else would we have the capacity to ever really know whether we are positively moral? In the event that my moral quality relies upon an endless number of choices of which I could do to make this self-assertive and silly standard of utility or bliss; by then, I can never know whether there was something special I could have done to improve my decision.

Morality is a conscious person's willingness to object to egotism and self-indulgence. When you object your immoral tendencies, you win with concern to being a moral person. You have no illogical focal points for the capable over the tame.

Being Moral vs. A Moral Action

With everything taken into account, there is a difference between a moral person and actively being moral. As I would see it, a man can be impeccably moral without doing moral activities, accepting that they mean well, and have tried true endeavours to detail an ethical standard which they attempt to live up to and which they sincerely believe is correct.

What more would you have to ask of a person? When I call an action moral, all I'm expressing is that it's ideal and that it was done over not being done. It is the thing that we ought to accept is right, one may state. An individual could stay moral even if they fail to behave in an appropriate manner, presuming that they haven't done any intentional wrongdoing.

The greater part of the world passes by if somebody cannot help, at that point, we don't criticise them for not making a difference. Be that as it may, if somebody can help, we do criticise.
