In a 1968 interview with Playboy magazine, the American film director, screenwriter, and producer Stanley Kubrick was asked the following question:
"If life is so purposeless, do you feel its worth living?"

What would you answer? Imagine yourself in Stanley's shoes. An interviewer asks you this question, you're on the spot, having to conjure up a full-fledged exposition justifying your own existence. Not an easy position to be in for sure. So, what's your answer? Why are you here, right here in this moment? What are you doing, and for what? How do you rationalize the continuation of being in the apathetic medium that is the universe?
