Video-Responses directly on top of videos - do you still remember that old YouTube Feature?

Hey everybody,

some of you might remember that YouTube once had a feature for video-responses! I actually really liked the thought behind it and it offered a completely different way of exchanging thoughts online.

Do you still remember it?

How do you guys like the idea of having video-reactions directly on top of videos? I am currently working at night on a project with friends to refresh that idea and am super interested in the thoughts of other creators on video-responses.

Our project has the vision of turning video from a one-directional into a multi-directional form of communication where everybody can communicate in an equal way.

It is basically following three main values.

Value 1:

Foster human connection while overcoming the limitations of raw text. Purely text-based communication has so much room of missunderstanting. How is a person saying something? Is it a joke? What are the emotions, mimics and gestures?

Value 2:

Foster a more responsible and thoughtful communication online. By showing the face, commenters might think twice about how to phrase certain things or simply making sure to add value to a conversation.

Value 3

Creating shared video experiences by letting everybody become an equal part of the bigger piece.

Those are our motivations - what do you think about it?

I attached a link to a real world example to show you guys how it looks like:
