On the 25th of November, the Church celebrates Catherine of Alexandria. Catherine was a princess and scholar who was martyred by Emperor Maxentius in the early 4th century. She is also known as one of the 14 Holy Helpers.

Becoming a Christian at 14, she converted hundreds and was martyred around age 18. 1100 years later, she was identified by Saint Joan of Arc as one of the saints that appeared to her in her visions.

Saint Catherine of Alexandria, ora pro nobis!
