You're genuinely brilliant. I love this so much I wanna kiss the screen!! That's how I felt a couple years ago...stripping away all the programming to just be. That's all. Just be. This is so spot on..seriously. So now if you don't mind I would like to resteem because I feel like this is everything I think about all the time 🙃💜 amazing from the master as always. Thank you sir, never less than excellent.

I love it!
I can relate and it resonates so much with me, it all comes down to the idea of letting go of this thing, the worry of what others will think about you. Being aware of how much this thing is blocking us from being ourselves and doing what we want, instead of protecting us.

This is a great post and really resonated with me. I’ve been going through a similar process over the past year or so and it has really opened my eyes to how much, in the past, I presented myself to the world, and to myself in fact, through these different masks. Removing those masks and revealing myself has been a challenging and difficult process. It involves a lot of vulnerability. But it’s also been hugely rewarding and I think I am slowly learning how to be more authentic. So great to read your experience.

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful piece! I have a question, that may turn into two questions. Firstly, do you think this kind of search and way of living will or should be pursued by all people? And secondly, how do you think societies will change if everyone acts in this way? Why I ask is because I want to do my master's and PhD in this kind of field, philosophical practice to be precise. I want to help people do what you do, or what you wrote in this piece. Not everyone will be able, because it is probably scary to most. I long also for this feeling of authenticity, but my mind is too busy at the moment. Thanks again. :)

I think anything can be for anyone, but not everyone wants or needs everything. I don't think society would change per say, just like people don't en mass suddenly awaken spiritually. In my mind, everything happens how it happens because of the interweaving manner of our realities. We need all types of people because they provide the contrast that makes us all unique. If everyone walked around talking about the illusion of consciousness and self we'd probably all get pretty bored I imagine. Hopefully that kind of answers your question, but I answered the only way I could have anyway. 😁

I feel like I'm going through the same thing and your words make so much sense now.

This is so true... "I find that letting go of the resistance and judgment of myself and others allows me to shift the roles or "masks" more easily and it's much more simple to just be authentic. Authenticity seems less about removing masks and more about consciously choosing and being aware of what mask we wear at what time. Sometimes it's just necessary to play our parts in others' lives and not be judgmental of ourselves or them to enjoy life as the experience that it ultimately is in the end."

As someone that has always had a tendency to disassociate from reality when I felt uncomfortable

Reading it, I got a strong association to the music video for a song, Carnival by Paperboys. The song is on this subject exactly, and the song itself is quite nice. But it's really the video that's making it shine in my opinion. Story-telling on another level.
