Am I the Reincarnation of Lao Tsu? (Tao Te Ching)

in philosophy •  8 years ago  (edited)

I've began to feel that I might be at least a bit of reincarnated Lao Tsu... I remember the day I picked up the Tao Te Ching. I flipped through each page thinking thoughts of "of course, yes, yes, yes, truth, yep, I understand...."

A lot, and I mean a lot of people can barely understand the Book of the Way. I got it the second I sifted through.

I even like how thousands of years ago this man, a wise man, was sick of the way of the corrupt government and it's people and was heading away to go to live in the forest until a guard stopped him and asked why he was leaving. He then decided to create the Tao Te Ching before entering the forest. I've had this desire for a long long time.

I don't call myself a Taoist, simply because I don't like labels. Labels tend to hinder your process of intellectually/spiritually growing. But the Book of the Way has always been sincere to my heart. Don't believe me? Listen to me 4 years ago talking about this on my podcast Cosmic Gnostic:

For this episode I get into the Tao te Ching and how it's a resourceful book of knowledge that clearly gives insight on how one is to deal with a collapsing society and the tyrrany that it brings. I read some of my favorite chapters and then select random ones to read from to engage in a ponder on the insights of Lao-Tzu and his insights coming from 1000's of years ago. A good indicator that history truly repeats itself and with the tyranny of the governments around the world, including the USA, perhaps we can see how one must move through this chaos.

Our current reality/society collapse is nothing new. It's always like this. Listen to the above podcast, and I promise you'll begin to think that I may be the reincarnation of Lao Tsu.... :)

This is why my presence is so effective on Steemit, and everywhere else.

Memes I've made

Perhaps I'm not a literal reincarnation. haha!

But I do appreciate the Jedi path. :)

It's almost as if I'm looking at two separate blogs. I'm not sure what the exact trigger was for your current posts, but I do know that it isn't healthy for your spirit, for the spirit I see in the man of this post, to continue down that path.
"'The devil' can be on both sides of the road, the safest place is in the center." You realize (real-eyes) there are lies at the left and unsafely assume that they are not also at the right. I went through that, and there was a great deal of anger. I lost sight of balance, of love, of good. The ones that you're so pissed at (the ones behind it all) are thoroughly enjoying what you're doing right now, it serves their purpose just as well. To foster hate, to trick you into hating your own brothers and sisters and incite their hatred in return.
My mother believes that Jesus is the only way to heaven and if you don't believe you'll go to hell. She is on one side of the road. I met a man who believes that you cease to exist when you die and nothing really matters, it's a purposeless void. He is on the other side of the road. If my mother is wrong does that make the man right or vice versa? No. Opposite views can both be wrong. Get to the middle before you fall or get pushed off the edge, I would say the same to those who believe everything they were taught in the public fool system except they would be much less likely to listen.
The truth comes from within, not from without. You know this, this post tells me that you know this. Your poem about the forest tells me that you know this.

Yes you might be!
