Its like riding a bike! First bike ride in 2 years!

A couple years ago I suffered a bad concussion and it took me months to recover. I am back to normal again, and have recovered so many things that I could not do for a while: read on a computer, dance, write, sing, work, play... the recovery process has taught me so many lessons. But I still had not ridden a bike yet. Until today!

It went really well! The saying is true! One seems to never forget how to ride a bike. I just hopped on, and rode it like nothing bad ever happened. It's a beautiful spring day. I rode the bike with my neighbor, to go get some pizza, at the same pizza shop that accepts cryptocurrency! I didnt use crypto to buy the pizza this time. I need to earn more first!

Anyway, here is a photo of me being happy to face my fears and get on a bike again!

The Lessons:

  • Even when things seem their worst, you just don't know what tomorrow holds. Hold on. Wait. Something cool might happen.
  • Even when you have lost everything you love, you can rebuild
  • When you rebuild, you come back stronger
  • Its so fun to get to do things as if they are new again. Riding a bike. Listening to music. Running.
  • Sometimes nobody comes to help you right away. Or the sucky times just keep rolling in. You can get through. JUST WAIT IT ALL OUT. Even if it takes months. The better days are worth the wait.
  • Life will never be perfect. You're still gonna get scared, feel depressed, have a bad day sometimes. Appreciate the good times when they come. Try and forgive and love yourself when you can. Forgive yourself for your shortcomings.
  • Don't be ashamed of your limitations. Just keep going!

Hey @dflo - Remember me?? I was one of the first Steemians to help ya out in the beginning weeks - It looks like your doing well for yourself and look happy!! Glad to see that :)

Reblogged :)

totally! I remember you. Thanks for reblogging! Things are finally starting to feel so much better than when I first got here. And the people I have met here are a huge part of why things feel so much better. THanks for helping me out in my early days!

@dflo - Haha - Glad ya remembered - And very glad to hear that things are feeling better on Steemit - It just takes time and patience as I'm sure you now know - Sometimes a lot of patience - but, patience and persistence ultimately do pay off!! :)

No prob at all for the ReSteem - I only have 1200 followers or so buy a chance to be seen by an additional 100 followers would help:)

Stay in Touch - Have a Great Day!!

Congrats @dflo!! That is so awesome. I am glad things seem to be starting to go more your way this last week or two. Hopefully, it is only up and up from here.

I had a concussion in 2002 I thought I was never going to recover from but slowly made a comeback to 100 percent

Awesome news!

I like this for so many different reasons :>)

And the fact that you went to get pizza at a place where they accept crypto currency is definitely not the main reason for me smiling now, haha!

You know it was the concussion talk with you - after I had hit my head hard in an airbnb bathroom in Madrid - that made me really connect with you.

So happy to hear that you're doing better.
