Melt The Ego: The Key To Self Realization πŸ”‘ βœ…steemCreated with Sketch.

A time not too long ago, all of the sentient beings on earth were in-tune with each other and on the same frequency.

Nowadays, we see many unconscious humans lost in the ego trap.

I'd like to start with the main reason I believe people can not let go of their ego. We were all taught throughout our life by the school system and our elders that their were authority figures that specialized in their specific fields that had the answers to everything. From volcanoes to dinosaurs, we can find some sort of highly ranked individuals or scholars in these specific fields of study. The problem with relying on authority figures like we all did as students (if you went through the public indoctrination system) is that they were put on pedestals as to make them superior than others. While I am not saying they weren't more versed in their studies than the student, I do see a problem with this form of idolatry. Since we all grew up idolizing the greatest philosophers and scientists as kids, we did not have the encouragement to seek our own conclusions to the phenomenon's the "greats" discovered or explained.

I came to this realization that the ego of many was shaped out of the current form of idolatry and consensus science taught when they were children. For example, if anyone has looked into the history of dinosaurs up to our modern day, their are holes in almost all of the "facts" relating to dinosaurs. When I question these fringe topics I am normally blocked from debating scientific facts about the topic because of the individuals ego. It is hard for people to question subjects like these that have been drilled into our heads as scientific facts. The dinosaur oatmeal in the grocery store, Jurassic Park, and hundreds of other cultural practices that involve dinosaurs are all built off the information you were given at an age before you were able to critically think or analyze information. Not only do I see problems with the topic of dinosaurs alone, but pretty much everything else we were taught as kids to be scientific facts. This may surprise most people but if we are coming from the perspective that history is written by the winners and the "winners" are still ruling over us today, we have no choice but to question everything.

I bring up the subjects that were taught in our government schools because I think they are one of the main things that handicap many people from having purely scientific debates that don't involve emotions. I am the type of person that questions everything, something that can not be done if I did not let go of my ego. Since we were taught that everything in life can be explained away by the professors and scientists, we do not seek answers ourself. The world becomes a much more fascinating place when you do not rely on a third party to filter and adjust your reality according to their doctrines.

I think the best way to solve the issue of the masses being ignorant to new information that results in cognitive dissonance is to break the ideology that one person is somehow greater than the next. This would solve the issue of mans ego today because it would allow the students to teach the teacher and the teacher to teach the students. When we are coming from a perspective that all of us are equals, including sentient beings, we will not have this blockage that deny's us to move forward and build a better future for all of us.

At the end of the day, we have to recognize that the ego is doing nothing but holding us back from bigger and better things. We need to understand the reality of our uni-verse and tap into the one verse we were all connected to in the past!

Your dinosaur idea sounds like it could be interesting. Care to share it?

I could go through a list of holes in the dino myth but this one really sums it up. Dino sex is not only comical but it is also physically impossible!

Applying the same logic that suggests that porcupines cannot mate because they can't get past the quills? Tortoises cannot mate because there's a shell in the way?

It's easy to make it look ridiculous if you place the same image over itself and don't allow for either animal to have changed position to allow access. Heck, you could even argue it for humans if you had two images of humans with their legs firmly together, it's clearly impossible in that position - but that doesn't make it impossible.

There are plenty of large reptiles around today you could say the same for if you just put one image on top of another like your example. It would look ridiculous for a crocodile or a komodo dragon as their big tails would be in the way, but of course they manage it.

What other holes are there in the myth?

I have to agree with @neilcrabbe here.

This post wasn't about debating whether dinosaurs existed or not it was simply pointing out the cognitive dissonance involved with many when their reality is questioned. I respect both of your views and appreciate your input...peace!

That's fair. And your cognitive dissonance point is a good one

I just had to get my point across about discussing fringe topics. Anyways, I appreciate your honesty and hope to hear from you again.

First off, all of the animals you listed are alive today and none of them weigh 10 tons. To this day we still don't have a complete fossil of a dinosaur, just small skeletal parts here and there. Go to any museum that displays a dinosaur skeleton or pieces of one and they will admit they are all plastic replicas or grafted from various animals bones. Dinosaurs were drilled into our heads as children so we would accept the doomsday scenario of mass extinction being a possibility. Your assuming that we have a legitimate full skeletal structure, the creatures are nothing more than a form of art. Not to mention ALL the so called dino bones were found when paleontologists where specifically searching for them. The word dinosaur comes from the root word terrible lizard and was invented in 1842. Yes, really, the word dinosaur means terrible lizard. Research the bone wars and come to your own conclusions.
