Passion: The key to every locked door...

in philosophy •  7 years ago

They say we gravitate towards what we think about most; The power of the universe it's called by some. Whilst I think it's a great concept, you know, the concept that we can manifest whatever it is we want just by thinking about it and creating a picture-board, I also believe that a lot more goes into achieving the things we actually want. It would be great to just have to think about a thing and have it materialise the next day however that doesn't happen. Having said that, I certainly believe that we can be influenced by our thoughts.

The phrase I live my life by as above in the image helps me keep my saw sharp so to speak. I don't go about my day thinking about some material thing I need or want; To do so would be quite futile. Instead I focus on my ethos, design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default, and that alone ensures that my attitude and actions all point towards the goals I have set and the plan to reach them. Those goals may be to enjoy my weekend, to get a promotion, afford a new car, travel to a new part of the world, or as simple as creating a wonderful romantic evening for my wife and I to enjoy. It doesn't matter how big or small the goal is my ethos keeps me focussed on the activities required to achieve them.

I'm often asked in my professional life, "what attributes I applied, or brought to the industry, to accelerate my success" and I always answer with one simple word: Passion. The way I see it is that if one applies passion to everything they do then all the other things required to achieve true success will be easier to do. I mean, hard work, dedication, consistency, discipline and all the others. For me it all starts with passion and I find my passion from my ethos. It's a neat circle really where one element feeds off the other and pays it forward to the next.

It's my weekend right now and I'm passionately engaging in it. This weekend is the first race in the 2018 Formula One Grand Prix Championship and as a huge fan of F1 I'm planted in front of the television supporting my favourite driver and team. With passion. No matter what you're doing this weekend make sure you do it with passion, and design and create your ideal life. Go and own it!

Well buddy, if we don't actively go after what we want, no one is going to do it for us!! And your right, it's important to apply it to everything everything in life...from rooting for your Grand Prix driver to keeping your girl happy, to going for that promotion. It's all the same!

It's a bit like the passion you show to those people who comment on your posts with something like

I agree.

Best reaction or passion ever !! :)

Haha, yeah I hate people writing comments like that. I have some excellent medieval insults prepared for the more stupid replies I get. :)

Yeah, a bit cheeky but it punctuates my point. Had that user made a valid comment they would have received some SBD. Because they didn’t, they didn’t. :)

hahahaha thank you for a great post and a great laugh tonight!! Brian's had a bad day, so I certainly needed it! I know you normally do, but check out his post tonight if you have a moment and try to bring a smile to his face...a much harder task I assure you!

I had already read it but put a few comments up now.

Thank you; I responded from both of us. He always says he can't quite find the right words to respond. So we sit here, me typing and reading to him, until we are in agreement ;)

We both truly appreciate your support! Thank you again.

You’re welcome. I hope he gets to feeling better. I gave his post a resteem too. Hope touches some other people. :)

You are right passion is the key for every locked door.I also don't care about materalistic things instead i importance happiness, goals

Sounds like you’re on the right track. Crush it!

Wow, this is beautiful. True we should be influenced by our thoughts and not just have a default setting in our heads. And ofcourse, no matter what our goal is, big or small, there should be focus backing it and sincere passion for it, like you mentioned. Wow I've learnt a lot from this. Thank you so much. Please do enjoy your weekend @galenkp You're amazing

You’ve paraphrased my post perfectly!

Awwwwnnnn I'm so glad you love it. Thank you

So far, I haven't managed to manifest anything into reality without time, effort, money; or all of them. I'm not saying it's impossible. Just not realistic. Realistically, I can have or do whatever I am willing to put in the effort to have.

I manifested a rabbit from a hat during a magic routine I once did as a kid...Oh, hang on, nah, that rabbit materialised due to the hours of effort I put into perfecting the magic trick and the false bottom in the hat...

I could try with all my might to manifest myself into an astronaut or world title MMA fighter...But that is never going to happen. Goals need to be realistic, measurable and have a time frame. If a goal is set in that way, and one focuses on the right things (activities and actions) then there is a chance the goal will be realised.

It seems to me that you understand the concept completely.

Now...I'm going to go an manifest a donut... :) (From the fridge)

True, limitations do apply.

Here's a bit of advice for you @zuanaslah, because I have a feeling you are new to steemit. When you read a post that someone has obviously put some time and energy and heart into, such as this one, you really want to respond with the same. That means you should write something that takes a little time, energy and heart on your part. You will find your experience much more positive on steemit if you do so. A comment like "I agree", simply gets ignored or criticised.
