It is so sad the all the current governments, even the birthplace of the Dao, feel that they have to show strength in controlling people as a sign of greatness. They also suffer under the delusion that their central power is a key to their greatness, when just the reverse is be true.

The harder you grasp something the easier it gets away.

Yes, that's sad. Philosophical Daoism is also threatened in China - what still remains of Daoism is its religious parts.
