Humans live in a vast web of lies millennia old. The enemy spiders patrol the net. They can sense a human beginning to wake up and they scurry over to inject them with more happy-time-sleepy juice to continue the "ride" the bound human "experiences" within their web-pod. It literally takes a miracle to wake up a human in a web-pod as they will fight against reality when it is presented. Too bad you don't believe in miracles. Quite the quandary you have gotten yourself into, huh?
