This day, our class had a video call with professor Iklaq Sidhu- the founding director of Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology , UC Berkeley.

We have a great time learning about entrepreneurship and i got inspired by his statements that they have produced a lot of students who became successful entrepreneur. It's a great , rare and very informative experience that we witnessed lectures and discussions from a genius of this field.

He said that the two traits must be possessed to be a successful entrepreneur - being good in technical skills and good in social and emotional skills. These things can be learned by diligence to learn, experiences, social interaction and good mentor ship.

Discussions and question and answer portion rendered an hour of experience, but what I learned was for the lifetime.

In summary, Professor Sidhu list the life lessons that we must apply in our lives -

  1. Be curious, and follow your interest
  2. Learn to influence, sell, convince and communicate
  3. Great teams will outperform great individuals
  4. Always share credit
  5. Over planning is not helpful
  6. Overcome one's obstacle and accept life for what it is
  7. Have great mentors
  8. Character defines destiny.
