Our Thoughts Influence our Emotions and Create our Reality

When we focus on the negative aspects of life, our negative perceptions of the world tend to grow within us. Often, the negative thoughts that we experience today are the same negative thoughts that were in our minds yesterday and they will be the same negative thoughts in our head tomorrow and so on. What we focus on grows.

If we continuously allow negative thoughts to enter our minds, then those thoughts become our preconceived notions of reality and of life.


Our thoughts and mindset create our reality and they also become habit forming. Our thoughts shape the way we perceive the world and how we view life. If we focus on the negativity in life, than our overall outlook on the world becomes negative. If we only focus on the negative then we may believe that the world is bad and people are doomed. However, if we focus on the positives in life then the world can be seen as a positive place full of good people.

Though it is often difficult, our minds and our thoughts are one of the only things that we can control in life. We cannot control the weather, or traffic, or how other people behave, but with some effort, we can control how we think and how we perceive the world. We can also control our attitude toward events and in doing so, how we view our lives.
Something to consider:

People cannot actually create an emotion inside of us.


Another person cannot reach inside our head and start turning valves and pushing buttons to unleash a desired response. Though our emotional responses tend to be reactive in nature, the anger or sadness, frustration or happiness that we experience is all self-created. We may react to situations but we still create our own emotions nonetheless.

To me, this concept can be taken as a lesson that we can teach our self. For instance, if another person says or does something that triggers a response within us, such as anger, we can learn from the experience by searching within us for the seed of which the anger stems from. In other words, we can look within ourselves to find the source of our anger.

What is triggering the emotion of anger when a person says or does something that we do not like? If we believe that another person has control over our emotions then we will be doomed to experience those emotions for the rest of our lives, anytime our trigger situation arises.

If someone says or does something which triggers anger within us and we do not take the time to look within for the reason we are experiencing anger, then we will likely experience anger every time we encounter that same situation.

Things in life are created twice, first within our mind and then within our reality and our thoughts largely create and influence our perceptions of reality and the emotions that we experience. Our thoughts are like messengers that we send out to influence our physical world. If we can change our thoughts then perhaps we can change our reality.

Yeah it can be challenging when just starting out. Takes a while to build a following. The best thing to do in my opinion when starting out is to vote and comment on others posts. Find people who will vote for your comments. That only works if you vote for their post though.

I've also found that the partiko app really helps for commenting on others posts because you can access steemit from your phone rather than a laptop or computer. Quick easy access.

yeah. some more so than others lol. It can be challenging but I certainly believe that it is possible
