A New Chapter In My Evolution

Greetings my friends,

I recently authored my Introduction for SteemIt under the UserName @notconvinced. This label suits me very well as my nature since birth has been to critique everything. I am never satisfied by the first answer given. Because of this, I always research for myself from as many perspectives as possible to form the best version of My Truth that I can. An opinion even by a professional in the field, holds little weight.

In that introduction I announce the direction of my new path and an extremely summarized explanation of the reasons for deciding to go in this particular direction.

About a year ago exactly an epiphany enveloped me, giving me the clarity I have been searching for all of my life. This realization is part of my evolution away from civilised society, as it likes to call itself.

I have never truly felt like I fit in. I was not the lonely picked on kid in my youth. I was quite popular in fact, just never quite felt I was perceived accurately and was unfulfilled by the lack of depth in which most that surrounded me and even many whom simply crossed my path, seem to view the world with.

I could never understand how a species with such a huge ego rarely seemed to push the boundaries of the possibilities this opens up for them.

The biggest culprit for building this mental tunnel vision, in my opinion, is Central Authority and a belief that the control by a few is the most efficient way to peace and agreement.

So, getting to the point, I perceive current society as a failed experiment or a wasteland. It is not the creation from the sum of humanities best past experiences, bringing us to harmony. Instead, it's a continuation of a practice, which started at least 5000 years ago that has suppressed the forward evolution of our species.

With technology and tighter regulation invading deeper into our lives, we are living longer lives, but our health is deteriorating. We are simply sicker longer. This not only affects us, but because of our great abilities, it has spilled over into everything we touch. We plunder nature in an attempt at health.

Sickness, mental and physical is on the rise. War, anger, hunger and want is still at the all time high levels. Happiness at best is superficial and short lasting. We now know that we produce enough for all and have the ability for all to live with their basic needs available to them, whether they are self acquired or provided, yet there is not a universal push to make this happen. We would rather just throw it away, because it's easier.

For this reason I consider our current reality a Wasteland. A Wasteland of inaction over action, apathy over empathy, selfishness over honor, war over compromise, argument over conversation and dependence over individualality. As our abilities increase, our empathy decreases.

We have become stagnate and have been so, for a very long time. When you become dependent, you tend to let yourself go. You don't make an effort, waiting for someone else to do, what you yourself is perfectly capable of.

When I first had my epiphany, the reasons were quite summarised. This was simply my way to break free from my unwanted dependence. It was for selfish reasons. It was time to live my way, not how another defined my path for me. This is what Central Authority does. It forces you to suppress who you are, in favor of how others want to see you.

After a year of planning and thinking about this over and over, my reason's have evolved beyond what this can do for me. It has grown into, how can I help society break free from their trance. I have self appointed myself to this task, to rebuilt the wasteland. To become the warrior in defense of forward evolution. To push independence. To change perspectives and promote thought instead of directing thought.

Hence, my evolution from being NotConvinced to WasteLandWarrior. I hope my story resonates and we can work together, building a world community, which revels in our differences, instead of punishing those whom refuse to conform. Another reason the name is a good fit is, I fund my life recycling and reusing other people's waste.
