Upvoted and followed, thanks for sharing! I am thinking a lot about this lately. I spent decades atheistic, then agnostic, and finally returned to reading Scripture after having learned about flat Earth, and the Mandela Effect, around two years ago.

I think everything has life in it, even rocks. We were created, and the Creator put a shard of light into everything; larger shards into humans, with self-awareness.

Science is an excellent way of learning how things work in the world around one; however, "scientism" is a trap we can all fall into, trusting someone else's results without performing the experiment one's self.

Similarly, we can only see around 2% or so of the electro-magnetic spectrum -- so 98% of what is happening around us, we are unaware of! I find that really magical. :)

wow, you have a interesting journey behind you :D
i am not a friend of flat earth and I can not understand why people believes in it. There are so many evidences that the earth is round, but ok, everybody as he wishes :)
and yes, you are right with spectrum, there is so much more around us that we dont see or know. i forget the name but in the 60s there was a physicist who wanted to design a device with which one could grasp and visualize the whole spectrum. So in something like a TV or window, with which one could have looked into the other worlds. What was made of it, unfortunately, was never known.

Neat device! It sounds similar to night-vision goggles, which bring things from infrared into the visible spectrum. And then there's hearing, like dogs can hear higher-pitched whistles which we can't.

You said you don't understand why people believe in it, so I'll tell you what convinced me. Note that I'm not trying to push it on you, feel free to ignore me! :) My first exposure was "Flat Earth Clues", a 2-hour YouTube video series by Mark Sargent. A bit light on the science though.

My next was the book "Zetetic Astronomy" by Dr. Samuel Rowbotham, written over 100 years ago. It contains many experiments which set out to prove the Earth being a globe, and failed. The "Bedford Level Experiment" is the most well-know (as well as the first in the book), where a six-mile stretch of canal had flags posted every mile, 8 inches above the water, and they could see all the flags.

The curve's math is described by the astronomers to be "8 inches per mile squared" in other words, the farthest flag at 6 miles should be 8 * 6 * 6 = 288 inches, or 24 feet below the horizon line. Yet, they could see all the flags! This experiment has been reproduced more recently, with lasers and cameras.

Another was "Airy's Failure"; they failed to show that it's a globe, based on their experimental results. Anyway I won't go on any further, other than to provide a link so you (and others) can read it on-line if you so choose: http://www.sacred-texts.com/earth/za/za00.htm

Yes! We are the Universe it's self..

it sounds weird, but who knows! science will keep fascinated us forever.
that's why I love science especially physics i read about the quantum theory and the relativity and many more, the connection between the branches of science like philosophy, psychology and physics always interesting.
followed and upvoted glad to found ya

Like. @nyinyiwin

Certainly an interesting topic.
Thanks for your post.

Interesting theory. Thanks for sharing it @oendertuerk
