Have faith with hope, with the presence of hardwork; without which then hope means nothing!

A very wise man explain the difference between hope and faith- he said:

"You're watching a man riding a bicycle across a tightrope... You HOPE he'll make it... FAITH is when you're willing to sit on the handlebars."

HOPE is a but a four letter word, more powerful than a Nuke. But is there any prerequisite for this word to be made manifest? Do we have to be religious before we could be hopeful, it is only a religious act?

This are life questions, attempting to answer it might be controversial; the real answer lies in the mind and soul of the reader of this piece. It is and is not a responsive question! The definition to look forward to something earnestly depends on the individual's will power.

Religious View:

In this perspective, we can conclusively agree that Hope is Faith, having Faith in the unseen is Hope- hoping for what is to come with fervent positive mind is Faith! This contributes to living an healthy and purpose driven life, it requires planning and strategical thinking and the Holy book clearly states that:

Even so Faith , if it hath not works is dead being alone.

...Faith without work is dead! James 2:17,20b KJV

So how possible is it for any Human to have expectations and trust/believe something yet to happen without prior actions, steps, inputs? Most cultures across the World believe strongly in this principle, generally it is undisputed that Faith/Hope is directly proportional to set of actions, preceding steps to an expectation. It's paramount to be hopeful in every undertakings, but it requires more than just laying idle and doing nothing to catalyze what you desire to come.

A Scholars Approach:

Hope is an optimistic attitude of the mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstance in one's life or the World at Large-Wikipedia

Arguably in this context, it has been supported and opposed that hope is the resolution whenever crisis looms. Meaning; several people don't act on getting the best out of something until they are in a tight corner: when calamity beckons. For Example a Junkie or an Alcoholic who never checked into a rehab or seek for professional help, but few years than the line diagnosed of a terminal Liver or Kidney disease. The he or she stops and starts medications with the hope of healing.

Religious folks might not attest to this statement, likewise atheist and philosophers would also stand firm at their inference.

There is no condemnation for hoping, just like there is no harm in living. But a false hope is a fault, not having a realist sense of being optimistic. Another example is a farmer hoping for a bountiful harvest, who never till and fertilize his crops and farm generally.

A more practical example is a couple who hopes for a set of twins, a boy and a girl but decided to be celibate for the last two years. This are metaphorical instances, anyone in this examples listed should be considered delusional.

In essence, optimism plus goals with a determined plan to achieve those goals is Hope-Faith!
